Logging

With the Record check box selected, individual signals are logged no matter what test platform you use. Using the Logging mapping flavor lets you decide to log or not to log individual signals for each test platform. The mapping has to be selected in the Platform Configuration.

When you have selected the Record check box and additional use a Logging mapping flavor, the Logging mapping flavor prevails over Record. That is, if you have selected the Record check box at a signal, and deselected the value for the same signal in the logging mapping, the signal is not logged. If you have deselected the Record check box and selected the value in the logging mapping, the signal will be logged.

Logged as well as recorded signals are displayed in the Signal Viewer, see Signal Viewer.
When you import signals and select the check box Hide new signals in other mappings, the new signals will be hidden in all non-target mappings and if a Logging mapping flavor exists, the Log check box will be deselected.
